Whose report do you believe? The Lord’s report or the devil’s report? Whose report do you believe? I want to let you know that the devil has no good report, he has never had a good report. He doesn’t have a good report for anybody or concerning anyone. Don’t be deceived, the devil doesn’t have a good report concerning you. The Bible calls him the accuser of the brethren, always pointing accusing fingers at the saints, the children of God. Day and night he accuses the brethren before the Lord.
He is a liar, the father of all liars. His native language is lie. The dialect he speaks is lie. He would want to lie against you even tell you lies about yourself to deceive you. He lied to Eve in the garden of Eden to deceive her. He said to Eve: “Had God indeed say you shall not eat of every tree in the garden?’’ Thereby putting a question mark to what God had said to make Eve to doubt the word of God. His trick has not changed, always putting a question mark to God’s word to make one to doubt.
For the child of God, there is nothing you are going through that is beyond God. The Bible says in 1Corinthians 10:13, “No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man, but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.’’ God is faithful.
The Bible says ‘’when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of God will lift up a standard.’’ If the enemy, the devil comes in like a flood attacking left, right and center, the Spirit of God is there to lift a standard against all the wiles and the works of the enemy.
God is faithful, He will always make a way of escape. In that very situation, in that very temptation, God will make a way. It is even that very situation the Lord will use to make a way of escape for you. You see the devil is always a looser, listen, he is a master planner when it comes to plotting against people, the devil is good at it, he is well organized, but he is a looser. As a child of God, your case is different he can plan whatever he wants to plan but at the end of the day he is a looser.
The devil knows mysteries you don’t know, he was there when God was creating, you can only overcome him because you have Christ in you. Christ in you is the hope of glory. You are of God and you have overcome the devil because greater is He that is in you than the devil in the world. Anytime, any day, you are an overcomer. You are born to win; the devil is a looser.
You have an enemy and that enemy is the devil. 1Peter5:8-9 says: ‘Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him steadfast in the faith…!’ the devil is walking around, roaming about, looking for someone to destroy. He doesn’t have any good agenda for man. His main agenda is destruction. Jesus said ‘the thief comes not but to steal, kill and destroy.’ These are the 3-fold ministry of the devil around the world. He has no good plan for mankind only to steal, kill and destroy. These are the things he is busy doing around the world. You won’t see him, but he is the culprit behind all the bad and terrible things around the globe.
Every day, you read about his handwork in the newspapers. There is hardly a newspaper you pick to read that you will not read of his handwork. If you don’t read of a disaster somewhere, you read of a robbery, if you don’t read of that, you will read of a slander, character assassination and many other bad news.
The Bible says be sober, be vigilant. The Christian must be sober and be vigilant. The Christian must be sensitive in the spirit. When you are careless as a Christian, you live a careless Christian life, the devil can easily sneak in, he will sneak in unnoticed and carry out his works. That is why the Christian must be sober and vigilant with watchful eyes because the devil is always looking for a loophole to attack. When there is no loophole, it becomes difficult for the devil to attack. He can only attack when there is a loophole and that is why the Christian must be vigilant enough to block every loophole so that the enemy cannot come in and attack.
Peradventure he attacked, the Bible says resist him steadfast in the faith. In fighting the devil your faith becomes very important. On your own you cannot fight the devil, you can only defeat him because you have Christ in you. In whatever you are passing through, understand that the Lord has already given you the victory. Whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world and this is the victory that overcomes the world even our faith.
So your attitude and response becomes very important. You must have the right attitude and the right response in whatever you are passing through. The right attitude is to count it all joy, it is to rejoice according to the scriptures. Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises, their prison doors opened. As you praise the Lord in that situation, your prison door shall open in Jesus name. Amen.
As a child of God, whatever you are passing through is not there to break you but to make you and at the end God shall be glorified. Amen. The biggest mistake of the devil in recent times is to have pushed you to the wall, into that situation, that tight corner, you are coming out! That wall you have been pushed to, is to take you into a new realm, a realm you have never experienced before. If the devil had known what would happen after the crucifixion, he wouldn’t have dared to crucify the Lord of Glory, he did, thinking that was the end of God’s redemptive plan for man. Through that crucifixion till today, many sons and daughters have been raised to glory. Halleluyah.
If you have been pushed into an uncomfortable, unpalatable situation, God has something good in store for you. ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of men, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’
