God does speak to each and every one of us. He lays things on our heart to do. As the Lord lays things on your heart to do and you are sure the Lord is laying the thing on your heart or you feel persuaded in your heart to do that thing, yield yourself to it immediately without any delay. God is leading you in a path to prosper you. God will lead you in the way wherein you will not stumble at all and be put into shame and disgrace.
Isaiah 30:21.
‘’And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.’’
If you really want to prosper in your endeavour, one sure thing you have to do is to yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can lead you or speak to you in different ways. He can speak to your heart, you can hear an audible voice or you may not hear an audible voice but you feel an idea strongly impressed on your heart. The Holy Spirit can speak to your heart through a mere reading just like you are reading this article. He can speak to your heart through people. You might just be having a casual discussion with someone and God speaks to you through that person. You might be listening to the radio, watching a television programme or going through a social media and the Lord speaks to you. The Lord can use any channel to speak to you but by and large, the Lord will speak to you through His word or use His word to confirm to you what He has already spoken to you. The word of God is the surest word of prophecy.
When you yield to God’s leading, it is a sure way to prosper. The thing may not necessarily make sense to you or to other people. In fact, most of the time, the things of the Lord do not make sense. God told Abraham, get out from where you are to a land that I will show to you. Does this make a sense? A place you don’t know and you have never seen before God says pack and just be moving. I want to believe that while Abraham was packing, some would have asked him this one important question: ‘Abraham where are you packing to?’ He would reply, ‘God told me to pack to a land He will show to me.’ Would they not have said to Abraham, ‘Abraham, are you okay at all?’ most of the time, the things of God do not make sense but it takes faith. At the time God told Noah to build an ark that He was going to send flood on earth and while he was building that ark, the people of his generation mocked him because it did not make sense to them. He built the ark in their presence, entered it, shut the doors against himself and his household, none of the people around him said, ‘Noah let us enter with you’, because the whole exercise did not make sense to them. They watched Noah building the ark, finished it, entered into it and the flood came. They all perished in the flood. When you yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit, you are walking in the way to prosper. Abraham yielded. It was after Abraham yielded that the Bible recorded that Abraham was rich in cattle, in silver and in gold. Yielding to God’s command brings prosperity.
