Text: Genesis 41:41-46.
‘And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnath-paaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Poti-pherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt. And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.’ KJV
Beloved, your season of decoration and celebration has come! If you believe it, you can say, amen! You shall be decorated and celebrated in your Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, unto the uttermost parts of the earth in Jesus name. Amen.
At the age of thirty, Joseph was decorated and celebrated. It doesn’t matter your age, your due season for decoration and celebration has come. Receive it in Jesus name. Amen. In verse 41 of Genesis 41, Pharaoh said to Joseph: ‘See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt’ and in verse 42, Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand and put it upon Joseph’s hand, arrayed him in vestures of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck. Joseph was decorated, his life was decorated. As Joseph was decorated so also shall you be decorated afresh in your life in Jesus name. Amen. It is your season of decoration. Pharaoh set Joseph over all the land of Egypt, you shall have the dominion in Jesus name, whatever is trying to subdue you, you shall subdue by the power of the living God. Poverty shall not subdue you, lack, sickness, failure, childlessness, whatever, shall not subdue you in Jesus name. You are leaving the land of intimidation, of shame, of reproach, of not enough, of disfavour, of barrenness, of infirmity, of no progress, of stagnation, of ugliness, in Jesus name.
God said to Moses; ‘Go and tell the children of Israel that I have seen their affliction, I have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters, I know their sorrows, I have come to deliver them and to bring them up into a good land and a large land flowing with milk and honey.’ I see God delivering you out of that bondage and bringing you into that land, the land of liberty and success, the land flowing with milk and honey, the land that you have so much desired. It shall be so for you in Jesus name. It is your season!
Men and women, boys and girls shall honour you. In verse 43 of our text, Pharaoh made Joseph to ride in his second Chariot, men and women, boys and girls cried before Joseph and bowed down to him, they honoured him, he was made a ruler in the land and verse 44 records:
‘And pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his head or foot in all the land of Egypt’.
Please, note the underlined words ‘without thee’. I want to let you know, the only person that can stop God’s intentions for you is yourself. The only person that can limit you is yourself, but I pray you shall not limit yourself in Jesus name. ‘Without you!’ – the Bible says whatever you loose on earth is what shall be loosed in Heaven, whatever you bind on earth is what shall be bound in Heaven. In essence, whatever you permit on earth is what shall be permitted in heaven and whatever you allow on earth is what shall be allowed in Heaven. Whatever you permit is what shall be permitted for you. The enemy cannot side-track you except you permit it. No situation can overwhelm you except you allow the situation to overwhelm you.
Abraham’s situation was overwhelming, but he didn’t allow the situation to overcome him; ‘against hope, he believed in hope.’ You shall not stop yourself in Jesus name. You shall have a change of garment. Whatever is trying to mess you up, the mercy of God upon your life shall mess it up and mop it out of your life. You shall be called by a new name which the mouth of the Lord shall name, in Jesus name. Amen.
Remember, at the age of thirty according to verse 46, Joseph was celebrated. It is important to note, before Joseph was celebrated, he went through all sorts of things. He went through hard times, the ‘fortunate boy’ was sold into slavery as a result of envy. He was envied for his coat of many colours, he was envied for his dreams. Your dreams shall be accomplished in JESUS name. It shall not be aborted. Right in the presence of those who hate you, the Lord shall prepare a table before you. Joseph was sold into slavery, from slavery, he was put in prison and from prison, God kicked him into the palace where he was celebrated. Very soon, the Lord shall kick you into the palace where you shall be celebrated in Jesus name.
I want to let you know that the palace is a place of celebration. One main feature of the palace is celebration. There kings are celebrated. Queens, princes, princesses, knights, lords, chiefs, nobles, dignitaries are all celebrated there. The palace is built with cement and bricks like any other building but the moment you call a building ‘a palace’, that makes the difference because we know only kings reside in a palace. Very soon, the Lord shall kick you into your palace where you shall be celebrated, He shall catapult you there. Like a dream, He catapulted David from the sheepcote into the palace, He catapulted Esther from a slave maid into the palace and Mordecai from a gate guard into the palace. Now it is your turn! Praise the Lord!
Finally, if you have given your life to Christ, remember, you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar person, called to show forth the praises of Him that has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Christ has made you a king and a priest. You shall reign here on earth. To God be the glory. Amen.
If you are yet to give your life to Christ, say this prayer to give your life to Him and you shall be decorated anew. ‘Dear Lord Jesus, I give my life to you today. I surrender all to you, be the Lord of my life, I receive you as my personal Lord and Savior, forgive my sins, receive me into your beloved, decorate my life anew. In your name I have prayed Lord’. Amen.
